Fogo Island Arts Residency Program was founded in 2008 at the East Coast of Newfoundland, Canada and is unique in its form. The Shoreast Foundation founder and CEO is former Zita Cobb. In 2017 the ars viva winners Jan Paul Evers, Leon Kahane and Jumana Manna will get the possibility to participate in the Residence Program at Fogo Island for the first time. This interdisciplinary program invites artists and creative minds worldwide to connect with the island’s culture and offers them to work in the middle of nature in the artist atelier designed by the Newfoundland Todd Saundes, without any interruption.
