Luciano Pecoits

Luciano Pecoits (*1999) lives and works between Munich and Vienna. In his artistic practice, he critically examines historical materials, archives and institutional narratives. His work focuses on how history is narrated, stabilised or concealed within art institutions. Through long-term research and collaborations with archives, museums, and public institutions, he creates works that manifest in exhibitions and also take effect as interventions in existing knowledge and collection systems.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. As a guest student, he also studied archival science and art and cultural studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. His works are currently on display at Haus am Waldsee in Berlin. Previously, they were presented at the Kunsthaus Dahlem in Berlin, the Münchner Kammerspiele and the Lothringer 13 Halle in Munich, and other venues.
